I. INTRODUCTION
Layer Master has evolved into one of the most popular and useful
additions to ACAD tools available for the manipulation and organ-
ization of drawing layers. Layer grouping is a concept first
presented by the introduction of Layer Master on the shareware
circuit. The use of layer groups yields powerful results when
dealing with structured drawings of assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Although the targeted user was mechanical we have since seen Layer
Master's popularity spill over into a vast number of other disciplines.
Individual layers and layer groups can be frozen, isolated, renamed,
etc. by simply picking an entity. Selection sets composed of all the
entities on a layer can be created by the same means. All of these
features and more make Layer Master a "MUST HAVE" utitlity for the
ACAD power user.
